Yes, you're right. I think I know who this is too. Hm, yesterday I was reading some quotes and I came across this Confucian quote. It doesn't totally relate, but I think the idea is right: When you set off on a journey of revenge, dig two graves.
Now, you have not set off on any journey of revenge, obviously... But I think that it's the same with feelings of hate or anger. What we think is inevitably what we become.
